The animation reminds me so much of Dead Leaves and Teppen Toppa Gurren Lagan. I absolutely love it! Those faces at the end make me ROFL all over myself.
I've often thought along the same wavelength of death and birth. When you die, do you simply wake up in another life, another time as someone else with no recollection as to who you once were?
Who knows. But I enjoyed this film. It is ingenious in it's simplicity, and manages to take a subject of such vast scale, and present it in such a soft, simple fashion.
The music fits the mood. A touch of sadness mixed with the glory of life (if that makes any sense).
Animation, voice acting, and the overall premise of the movie are all a delight to the eyes, and ears. I've watched it a couple of times already and still can't help but laugh.
In response to MrScriblam though, the cutaway endings work for the movie and in all honesty, how can a cartoon with a little boy who is friends with Satan have a "proper ending"?
If you could spin the logic on this one in a way that doesn't make you to be more of an ass, color me impressed.

Granted it's a parody of Epic Mealtime, but with so many spot on/nearly spot on voices, one can't help but NOT like this video. Well done!
